The star of the Paddington films and Notting Hill weighed to serve a festive meal to 500 elderly local residents at the Novotel Hotel in Hammersmith.
The annual event which is organised by H&F Giving and Hammersmith and Fulham Council provides a free two course dinner plus live music to older people who might find themselves alone on 25 December. Anyone over 60 who lives in the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham can register to attend the event.
A Hammersmith and Fulham Council spokesperson said, "Thanks to everyone who joined us at the annual Big H&F Christmas Day Lunch - including a very special guest, Hugh Grant. "Hugh helped us serve lunch to 500 local older people who otherwise would have celebrated alone. This was the real Love Actually."
The 63-year-old actor attended Latymer School in Hammersmith.
