Have you seen the PUTNEY letters on Putney High Street?
A local carpenter cut out giant wooden letters and, as part of our coronation event on Monday the 8th of May, they were decorated.
To stay on theme, they had red, white, blue and gold paint available. Children painted either something about the coronation or something they love about Putney.
As expected, there were lots of children excited to get involved. Aprons were on hand to stop the paint splashing any coronation costumes.
People of all ages to got involved so they could feel like part of the community. This led to some interesting designs, including a Union Jack design on the ‘U’ and many 'I ♥ Putneys'.
Those of us lucky enough to live in Putney know how much the area has to offer and for us all to enjoy the amazing open spaces on our doorstep, excellent leisure facilities, Cinema, Theatre, Art School, all of the facilities available to use the river, some excellent restaurants, and brilliant transport facilities.
Take a look at the Positively Putney website where they encourage us residents to come and explore the wonderful things Putney Town Centre has to offer. Whether you fancy browsing the shops, treating yourself to a manicure, a belated birthday meal out, or doing some DIY. You can get all that you need in Putney. There are a variety of independents unique to Putney, alongside national favourites. The Positively Putney directory details all of the businesses and latest news.
