Picture Competition

Wimbledon and Putney Commons 150th Anniversary Picture Competition is taking place.

As part of the 150th Anniversary celebrations, the Conservators are delighted to launch a competition for the best pictures of the Commons.

Your picture can be of any medium - photography, sketch, painting, or any other form you wish - and can be of anything at all - flowers or insects, wide sweeping vistas down the golf fairways, the iconic Windmill or visitors enjoying the Commons for one of the core reasons for being - exercise and recreation.

To qualify, your entry must be a picture/image of either Wimbledon Common, Putney Heath or Putney Lower Common and should be taken in the current month of the competition - The aim is to capture the essence of the Commons over the course of the year, and it is hoped that many will feature in a celebration book to be published later in 2022.
Why not join in and be in with the chance of winning some amazing prizes!

You can enter up to three images each month, and there will be monthly prizes for the best picture submitted as judged by the Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators, with an overall winner chosen at the end of the twelve months.  To choose the overall winner the vote will be open to the public to choose their favourite - either by visiting the Information Centre where the pictures will be on display, or via social media platforms.

All pictures entered will be included in a gallery on the website.

The next closing date is 5pm on: 31 July 2022

To enter simply e-mail your picture to Angela at rangersoffice@wpcc.org.uk
