A planning application for the redevelopment has been submitted to Hammersmith & Fulham Council and if permission is granted, the company hopes to have the hub open by the middle of this year.
The application, reference 2019/03629/FUL, which is currently open for comments is for:
Demolition of existing structures and removal of underground
tanks; erection of a part one, part two storey plus a substation to provide Electric Vehicle Charging Hub with Sales Building.
The EV-only hub, branded Shell Recharge, will feature up to ten charging spaces with fast 150kW chargers under canopies with solar panels.
The hub on the corner of Fulham and Landridge Roads close to Fulham High Street will also promises new flower beds and grass-roofed convenience store offering a 'warm welcome' with a sit-down area, and a facilities including free wifi, top-up shopping, coffee, breakfast, lunch and takeway meals, plus toilets.
