Allan's Market Update

Published: 02/09/2019 By Allan Fuller

August is traditionally regarded as a quiet month with schools on holiday and a vast number of people taking a well-earned break. Traffic in London decreases dramatically, and for those driving to work, journey times often are halved. Curiously we usually find that people who do not have children tend to delay holidays until September.

Despite this August was for us an extremely busy month for our lettings, finding tenants for virtually everything on our books and now needing more good properties locally.

The sales market is still being affected by the uncertainty about Brexit, which instead of us by now having a clear path forward is more uncertain than ever, so it is understandable that both would-be sellers and purchasers are being cautious. What we have proved from the sales we are agreeing is that there are buyers for sensibly priced properties, and that whatever happens, Putney will always remain one of London’s most desirable inner suburbs to live in.

If you are contemplating a move this year, now is the time to get active. Christmas is not that far away; so whether you are thinking of either selling or buying, do please get in touch with us. Reports of what is happening in property can be both confusing and depressing. Given our 35 year plus experience of every possible sort of market we are best placed to guide you and give you the right advice whatever your property plans might be.
