Wimbledon and Putney Commons Open Day
The annual day of fun for all the family!
For those of us living in Putney and Wimbledon, we are incredibly lucky to have hundreds of acres of open spaces just on our doorsteps.
Each year the Open Day gets bigger and better, and this year promises to be the best ever. As well as regular visitors, such as The Hawking Centre and the amazing displays with their birds of prey, the Essex Dog Display team will be delighting visitors with their spectacular show. They are Britain’s longest established and leading dog display team leave nothing to chance when it comes to giving the audience an outstanding display with a truly unique and fascinating commentary.
Outside the Arena there will be a fantastic selection of stalls to browse, including many local charity and craft stalls.
Other attractions include;
♦ Butser IX Legion – showing us what it’s like to travel back in time 2000 years to when the whole known world was ruled by the mighty Roman empire. You can taste the food they’d have eaten, wear their clothes and so much more!
♦ Littlelandies – we’re delighted that Littlelandies are back with us this year with their perfect mini Landrovers for children.
♦ Willowpool Designs – are joining us for the first time this year with fascinating basketry sculpture demonstrations and display.
There will be plenty of food stalls with a variety of stalls to satisfy most tastes.
