Lettings news

Published: 09/09/2020 By Cathy Sinnott

August has proved to be an fascinating month, full of changes and we have been very busy and have agreed plenty of good lettings. At the time of writing we have let more properties in than any other Putney based agents since the beginning of 2020.
We still have excellent stock available and for anyone looking to move into a new rental property in and around Putney so we should be able to fine just what tenants need.

Something  that has not been so evident at this time of year is  new graduates starting their working careers in London, presumably another effect of Covid as companies have cut back and either reduced their intake or stopped recruiting.

With more people working from home, and many who expect to be doing this for a considerable time we seen a big increase in people wanting outside space, even a balcony or ideally a garden. Also a greater number with a pet, Landlords are allowed to quote a higher rent to if they allow pets. Used to be that they could demand a higher deposit but that was stopped last years.

We have existing tenants looking for larger properties, while others are planning to economise by downsizing.

So all  of this gives us plenty do, but we never complain, that’s because we love what we do, there is vast satisfaction in successfully finding people a new home.
